Mitochondrial DNA analysis
FDNAS laboratory routinely performs species identification of unknown biological material (including traditional Chinese medicine). We analyze one or more mitochondrial genes and compare the resulting sequences to databases. Our laboratory annually participates in proficiency tests organized by APST working group of ENFSI.
The majority of our workload is done for environmental agencies, police and insurance companies.
